This Thursday, October 19th, from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm Irrigon Jr/Sr High School will host a vaccine clinic here at the school. Nurse Diane Kilkenny, from the Morrow County Health Department will be here to administer vaccines. If you did not receive a letter in the mail about your child’s immunizations, then your child is current on all the vaccines required by the State of Oregon in order to attend school. However, we are also offering vaccines against Flu, Meningitis, and Human Papilloma Virus. While these vaccines are not required by the state, they are highly recommended for the overall health and safety of your child.
If you would like your child to receive any of the three vaccines mentioned above, he or she will need to have a signed permission form. The form is available both at the school and on the school’s website.

Senior Parents:
On Tuesday, October 17th, at 6:00 pm in the Irrigon Jr/Sr High School library, financial aid representatives from Blue Mountain Community College will be here to present a short FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) workshop.
The FAFSA is one of the most important items that seniors need to complete as they plan for their future after high school graduation.
It is a requirement for many scholarships, and is also required for the Oregon Promise, a state program that pays for a graduates first two years at an Oregon community college.
In order to complete and submit a FAFSA, both student and parent need to apply for a Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID and password. This is a simple process that takes 20-30 minutes. All you need for this is your social security number and access to your personal email. Here is the website where you can apply - https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa/filling-out/fsaid . The computer lab will be open after the presentation for those who would like to apply at that time. The FAFSA workshop will be presented in both English and Spanish. Please make plans to attend. We will also provide information about local scholarship opportunities and the Oregon Promise.
